Saw active service in July 1940 as the Boom Defence/Patrol on the Tyne until summer 1943. She was then transferred to Great Yarmouth and continued as a tender to the Minesweeping Division until being returned to her owner in 1948. During 1948 she was re-engined with her present marine engines. Mr. Mitchell continued to own her until his demise and she was sold on in 1988. The vessel has been recently refitted with a new interior using oak faced ply and Iroko trim. The galley was fitted out 6 years ago, the saloon woodwork built new 4 years ago, and the aft cabin sleeping quarters was made a year ago.
