History & Construction - GRP Motor Boat for fishing or cruising. Open boat with open backed Cuddy forward and access to the locker area in bow. Displacement motor boat suitable for Bays, Rivers and Estuaries. Comes with a recently installed Petter diesel inboard engine. This engine was bought new for a yacht, but never fitted, just stored, then four years ago was fitted to this boat. It is single cylinder, giving 6hp, raw water cooled, and with a single shaft onto a new three bladed propeller There is a single battery, new in 2010. This boat goes at a top speed of approx. 7 knots. Engine seen running by the yacht broker in July 2011.

The boat is likely to be from the 1980's and has the monogram decal on the stern (see photo) showing that it is a real Plymouth Pilot, not a copy. Shoal draft and tiller steered, this boat is easily handled by one person. There is one bilge pump, an anchor and rope and a couple of fenders.

In addition you are getting a Seagull Silver Century outboard, a great get you home engine that will also push the boat along really fast. The Seagull fits on the transom on a special outboard bracket (see photo) and also has its special storage arrangement internally onboard under the cuddy to carry it securely when not in use.

This Plymouth Pilot 16 has recently been re-painted under cover, internally and externally, to a high standard and is now ready for use immediately. There is a full cockpit cover to keep out the weather. Length 16', Beam 6'3", Draft 1'4".
