History & Construction - Constructed of GRP with proven strength, (these boats have been in production for about 15 years) this boat "Bobcat" is a 2008 build, with Oxford blue hull and white topsides and deck. The twin hulls are semi-planing, with chines, the outboard chines can be seen easily on our photos. The deck is self draining so no worries about leaving the boat on a mooring. The boat is 17'2", 5.25m long, 7'4" 2.25m wide and 0.25m 12" draft. The engines are a pair of Mercury 30s new in 2008. They have been serviced yearly. There are 2 tanks for Petrol, each holding 5 U.S. Gallons. "Bobcat" is fast enough to tow toys and rings for the kids. There are two batteries (2008) and 12v navigation lights. Sunbathing seat in the stern for those balmy days afloat. The helmsmans seat is currently a quirky wooden one chosen by the current owner, however a new seat is to be made available on purchase of the vessel. Forward the cuddy has two bench seats with storage and a Coolbox situated under the portside seat. The navigation equipment consists of a traditional compass, a Garmin fishfinder/GPS and an Icom VHF. There is a voltmeter, a fuel gauge and trim gauges (starboard gauge not currently operational, though trim is working). The boat comes complete with a 25kg Danforth anchor on 20' chain and 120' rope, a boathook, a manual fire extinguisher and 5 fenders. For storage there is a blue cover for the console and one for the rear of the cuddy. There are stainless steel grab rails and hand rails. The windscreen is tinted wrap around style. Comments - - - A very rare opportunity to purchase a used Powercat. Why is it so rare? Well people hang on to their Powercats as they are so useful so they hardly ever come onto the secondhand market place. Great for sea angling with space for three people fishing. Incredibly fast and stable, such a boon for getting out to the wrecks and then being steady and comfortable when you get there. Good too for inter-island ferrying and not at all bad for the Continental Lakes as a sight-seeing tourer. Trailerable, so why not take it on holiday with you?
