History & Construction -
A 50' wide beam barge, 12' width, built 2008 by Liverpool Boats. Of slightly unusual construction as she was built and certified for inland and inshore waters, with no well deck forward. This means that she is useful for both inland and coastal areas, estuaries etc. (Maximum wave height 0.3m and maximum wind speed F4.)
Constructed of 10mm steel on the base, 8mm sides and 5mm cabin top. Current internal fit-out provides spacious accommodation for a couple. The boat has been foam insulated by the manufacturers and then fitted out by the owners. There is a saloon forward, with open plan galley area, then a bathroom midships and a small childs bed opposite. Aft is the owner's bedroom and steps leading to the wheelhouse area, which is partially completed.
The engine is an Isuzu 55hp four cylinder diesel, fitted by the manufacturer in 2008. There is a Newage gearbox, the engine is keel cooled and has two alternators, only one currently connected. The single shaft goes to a 3 bladed propeller and there is an automatic bilge pump in the engine compartment. The engine has had its first and only service at 20 hours running, and has done very few hours since then. With a cruising speed of up to 8 knots, and a top speed of 12 knots, and an approximate range of 2000 miles, with 1.5 tons of fuel in a steel tank. The diesel capacity is useful if you had diesel heating, (currently not fitted.) There are four 12V batteries, 110 amphr (2008) for engine starting, and 3 no. 140 amphr domestic (2012).
There is about 5 tons of water in the bow tank, and 30L immersion heater tank. There is hot and cold running water to the galley sink, and to the bathroom sink. The bathroom has a "hip bath" with shower over, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The galley area includes the appliances; fridge, cooker with electric oven and grill and four burner gas hob (the only gas appliance onboard), dishwasher, sink area with a 240V macerator fitted, storage cupboards, microwave, plus crockery and saucepans.
The saloon has a dining table with bench seating, a solid fuel stove, a fitted corner settee and a flatscreen tv over fitted units. Not yet finished is the panelling over the electric cables, which run the length of the boat at ceiling height. The flooring is vinyl covered plywood.
On deck there are two boat poles, a boarding platform on the stern and an anchor with 25' chain and 100' rope. A 2.5kva 240V Generator is included, plus a GRP tender. Being 12' wide this vessel is suitable for road transport, being the widest that can be taken without using a wide load carrier.
The vessel's widebeam gives you access to the wider of the UK canal and river systems, including all the Thames, all the Grand Union to Birmingham, the Oxford to Bristol, the Bristol and Sharpness, the River Severn and the River Avon. Also the Manchester Ship canal, the Peak forest and Pennines, the Trent, Mersey, the Norfolk Broads and the Fenland Drains.
Plus you could take this boat across channel to the European canals.

A boat that is ready to move onboard, with ample accommodation for one or two persons. A functional fitout, with some finishing touches necessary to complete the vessel. A good choice if you are looking for a long term live-aboard, or a holiday home. A more unusual and very useful feature of this boat is that it can be taken on coastal waters, as well as inland.
There is also the possible continuation of the present boatyard berth if required.
