History & Construction -
Steel Motor cruiser built in Holland to a popular design. Current owner bought "Brooke" in 2003 and she has been used up until recently mainly as a houseboat but with a working Daf engine. Now stored ashore awaiting new owner.
On deck there is easy access via the platform and fixed ladder aft, leading to an aft deck with open steering position. (The blue canvas cover shown in the photos of the boat afloat is now in need of repair and its stainless steel framework is stored on deck.) Forward of the upper windscreens is the coachroof of the main saloon, with steps down to the side decks, leading to the cabin entrance doors and the foredeck.
The interior has a lot of varnished woodwork, including tongued and grooved ceiling. The main saloon has solid fuel heating, the internal steering and wheelhouse area and a settee area. Large windows surround this area flooding it with light and making a great "look-out" area for long-term cruisers.
Aft is the main sleeping cabin, down a couple of steps, and the toilet. Forward is the galley area with a dining table, the dinette converts to a further double bed. In the forepeak are two berths. This area can be curtained off from the saloon.
Recent works include the rudder replaced 2012 and the underwater sections were needle-gunned and painted. The Daf engine has been regularly run though no long journeys have been carried out recently. The engine hours since new are 2642 and the engine is probably original. The engine is raw water cooled, 110hp and runs on approx. 3/4 gall. per hour.
COMMENTS -
Ready to launch once more, this motor cruiser is great for extended cruises, or long-term live-aboard. Comfortably fitted out with good headroom throughout. Plenty of heating for all year round use. Berth can be supplied in local marina if required.
A good choice if you want a summer cottage by the sea and can't afford the prices around Cornwall, why not choose a floating home? A good size sea-going boat with space for family holidays.
