History and Construction - Built in the U.K. 1978, one of the later Fishers produced, this yacht was bought by current owner in 2007. The layout includes six berths, plus a wheelhouse pilot berth, a separate heads, and a galley area. The cooker was new in 2007 and has a bi-fuel regulator system (calor and butane). The galley area was replaced with new sinks and worktops, new taps and new cupboard storage all carried out in 2011. The worktops and splashbacks are now in stainless steel and brass plate. There is a new gas safety certificate.

There is ample seating around the dining table, and new upholstery covers and curtains have just been made by a professional upholsterer (2010). This ketch is suitable for long distance cruising in comfort, and has a versatile rig. The hull was epoxied in 1998. There is copper coating antifouling, applied in 2007 therefore the boat does not need antifouling each year. The deck is original Gelcoat which appears to be of good appearance all round and there are treadmark type non slip patches in blue colour. The topsides are coated with Awlgrip in 2007. She holds 100 gallons each of water and fuel, allowing for independent sailing to far off places. There is a hot air heating system with a brand new Eberspacher unit, plus an engine calorifier of 40L for hot water. There is a new fuel tank fitted (2011) for the purpose of serving the heating system and supplying cleaner fuel than the main diesel tank, therefore prolonging the life of the heater. The heating system has now been factory certified, the installation being checked by an Eberspacher engineer (2011).

The propellor is new (2011) and is a new size to enhance maneuverability and economy. The engine service this year included replacing the injectors. The deep sea seals and the cutlass bearing are new in 2011. The toilet seals were replaced in 2009.

There is LED lighting for the navigation lights and anchor light. As well as th 12v lighting below there are also two brass oil lamps for ambient lighting. The Vetus hydraulic steering was new in 2007. There are adequate navigation electronics including a new Raymarine autopilot with gyro compass. The sails on the booms have recent Packaway stacking systems and lazyjacks. There is a new removeable inner forestay. The mainsail is from 2010 and the mizzen is 2011. The cockpit has teak seat covers and teak flooring. A new awning (late 2011) has just been made for the cockpit. The wheelhouse has new wood lining, tongue and groove on the ceiling. In 2012 the two engine start batteries have been replaced and a split charge diode system has been installed.

Comments - - - A fine example of a proven British built yacht. Many upgrades and improvements recently, including new galley area and new cushions. The owner is continuing with maintenance and new improvements to the vessel. "Sally Jane" would suit you as a comfortable and spacious cruiser for someone intending to use the boat for long holidays, or indeed as a liveaboard. Has two separate sleeping cabins below, plus the saloon and wheelhouse, so would suit a family or could accommodate friends sharing.
This boat has been cruised from Scotland to Portugal and the Med. The owner (a Yachtmaster) is offering FREE DELIVERY to the U.K. and Channel Islands, or assisted delivery for overseas. Come to see this Fisher 37 as it is well worth viewing. Phone to book an appointment for an accompanied viewing.
